Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the SnapBite mobile application and related services (collectively, the "App"), operated by Isa Rashvan ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using SnapBite, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Who can use SnapBite

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use SnapBite. If you are under 18, you should review these Terms with a parent or guardian. By using the App you represent that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate.

2. Your account

You can create an account by signing in with Apple or Google. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity that happens under it. Notify us promptly at support@snapbite.app if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. What SnapBite does

SnapBite helps you log food, scan meals and menus for nutrition estimates, track calories and macros, follow fasting schedules, save recipes, chat with an in-app AI assistant for food and wellbeing guidance, and monitor progress such as weight, water intake, streaks, and badges. AI features are subject to fair-use limits so the service stays fast and available for everyone. Features may change, improve, or be discontinued over time.

4. Nutrition estimates are not medical advice

Calorie, macronutrient, and other nutrition figures shown in SnapBite, including values produced by photo scanning, menu analysis, and third-party nutrition databases, are estimates for general informational purposes only. They may be inaccurate or incomplete and are not a substitute for professional medical, nutritional, or dietary advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before making changes to your diet, especially if you have a medical condition, are pregnant, or have an eating disorder. You use this information at your own risk.

5. Subscriptions and billing

SnapBite offers optional paid subscriptions (for example weekly and annual plans) that unlock premium features. Prices are shown in the App before purchase in your local currency.

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period and price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your Apple ID account settings. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
• Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable and partial periods are not refunded. Refund requests for App Store purchases are handled by Apple.

Any free trial or promotional offer is subject to the terms shown at the time of the offer. If you don't cancel before a trial ends, it converts to a paid subscription.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except where permitted by law.
• Interfere with, disrupt, or overload the App or its underlying infrastructure, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to it.
• Upload content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes the rights of others.
• Use automated systems to access the App in a way that sends more requests than a human could reasonably produce.

7. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you add to SnapBite, such as meal photos, logs, and recipes. You grant us a limited license to store and process that content solely to operate and improve the App for you (for example, to analyze a photo you scan or sync your logs across devices). You are responsible for the content you submit and confirm you have the right to submit it.

8. Intellectual property

The App, including its design, branding, text, graphics, and software, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the App for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App.

9. Third-party services

SnapBite relies on third-party services to function, including secure cloud storage and databases, subscription billing, nutrition data providers, and AI services that interpret photos and menus. Your use of the App may be subject to those providers' terms, and we are not responsible for their services.

10. Termination

You may stop using SnapBite and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the App. Certain provisions, including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability, survive termination.

11. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that nutrition estimates will be accurate.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or health outcomes, arising from your use of the App. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the App in the 12 months before the claim.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. Your continued use of SnapBite after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Qatar, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any disputes will be handled by the courts located there, unless mandatory local consumer law provides otherwise.
